Description
The TF39 Copperhead Deluxe takes the Copperhead sound you already know and gives it more room to work. By swapping in a dual-membrane K67-style capsule, Telefunken opens up cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 patterns on a single mic — same tone, same components, just more ways to point it at a source. If you’ve used a standard Copperhead before, expect no surprises sonically; this is purely an expansion of pattern flexibility.
Inside, a new-old-stock American-made 5654W vacuum tube pairs with an all-brass K67-style capsule and a Swedish Lundahl output transformer, the combination responsible for the mic’s even-handed frequency response and unforced midrange. Every unit is hand-assembled in the USA.
- Three selectable polar patterns: cardioid, omni, figure-8
- New old stock 5654W tube and all-brass K67-style capsule
- Premium EU-made Lundahl output transformer
- Natural midrange with extended low-end reach
- Distinctive antique copper finish
- Hand-designed and assembled in the USA
Where it earns its keep: natural vocal work across bluegrass, folk, and Americana, plus electric guitar, saxophone, upright piano, and banjo. On drums, it’s equally at home as a kick-out mic, overhead, or room mic.
Each TF39 Copperhead Deluxe ships as a complete system — multi-pattern M 903 power supply, M 803 tube microphone cable, ZC03 shell case, M 703 shock mount, M 782 stand mount, and a microphone sleeve — so you’re set up and tracking without hunting down extras.
