If your DI boxes are still living loose in a cable bag, the J-Rak 4 gives them a permanent home. This single-rack-space (1U) frame is built from 14-gauge steel and holds up to four compatible Radial units side by side, so your gain staging tools live in the rack alongside your preamps and outboard gear instead of rattling around underfoot.
Installation doesn’t require tools or technical know-how. Pop the outer shell off the Radial unit, slide the exposed inner frame into an open slot on the J-Rak 4, and it’s secured. Repeat for up to three more units and mount the whole rack in your road case or studio rack for the session.
The J-Rak 4 is compatible with most of the Radial direct box, splitter, isolator, and reamp lineup, including:
- Direct boxes: JDI, JDI Stereo, J48, J48 Stereo, J33, JDX 48, JPC, ProAV1, ProAV2, ProD2, PZ-DI, Trim-Two
- Interfaces: J+4, J-Iso, JS2, JS3, LX-2, LX-3, Pro-Iso, ProMS2, Relay Xo, Twin-Iso
- Reamp boxes: JCR, X-Amp
