Description
The Peavey PSM 3 solves a problem every sound tech knows well: how to mic a surface without a mic stand getting in the way. This boundary-style condenser sits flush on any flat surface – conference tables, stage floors, podiums – and picks up sound with a half-cardioid pattern that keeps things focused without drawing attention to the hardware itself. This particular unit is a gently used store demo, fully functional and ready to work.
Inside is a back-electret condenser element that runs on 9-52 volt phantom power, so it plays nice with the phantom supply already built into most mixers and interfaces. The black finish helps it blend into darker surfaces, which matters when the goal is invisible micing rather than a visible microphone on camera or in a boardroom.

Good fits include panel discussions, courtroom or lecture recording, drama and film dialogue pickup, and any stage setup where a standing mic would clutter the shot.
