Description
Built by bassists who happen to be engineers, the LR Baggs Stadium DI started as an in-house tool before becoming a stage and studio staple. Its all-discrete circuitry delivers the kind of clarity you’d expect from a high-end studio DI, but with hands-on controls that let you sculpt your low end on the fly. The enclosure combines aluminum, steel, and ABS plastic for a build that can survive tour life, and every unit is hand-assembled in California.
The tone-shaping section centers on three tools working together. Growl focuses saturation on the low frequencies, adding warmth and harmonic richness while staying dynamic and touch-responsive; hit the Drive button when you want that Growl to open up into a full-range overdrive. Comp EQ applies three bands of touch-sensitive compression across low, mid, and high frequencies, smoothing out inconsistencies without flattening your playing feel. Attack targets a focused mid-range band to dial in string articulation, sweeping from muted, jazzy warmth to a punchier, clearer edge.
