Description
The Earthworks SR20 is built for engineers and performers who need vocal intelligibility that holds up under pressure — literally. This unit was briefly used for in-store demonstration purposes and shows no signs of wear affecting performance, but is priced accordingly.
At its core is an electret condenser capsule with a cardioid polar pattern, engineered using Earthworks’ patented design to deliver a near-perfect cardioid response. Unlike typical mics that narrow or dull off-axis, the SR20 stays remarkably uniform across the front hemisphere — often flatter at 90 degrees than competing mics are dead-center. That means fewer surprises when a singer moves off the sweet spot, and stronger rejection of monitor bleed and room noise for cleaner gain before feedback.
- Handles up to 145dB SPL, so it won’t choke on loud stage sources or close-mic’d instruments
- Removable windscreen unlocks a wider pickup pattern, useful for choir or group vocal work
- Warm and detailed up close without turning boomy, with pop protection built into the windscreen assembly
- Unscrew the windscreen and it doubles as an instrument mic for piano, guitar, drums, brass, and woodwinds
- Suited for stage performance, studio tracking, presentations, houses of worship, and boardroom use
Whether you’re chasing feedback-resistant reinforcement or transparent studio capture, the SR20 gives you flexibility in one mic body — now available as a lightly used demo at a reduced cost.
