Description
Multiple grounds on an intercom run almost always mean hum, and the Clear-Com MT-701 is built specifically to isolate that noise out of Encore Partyline systems. Whether you’re dealing with a stubborn ground loop on one system or need to link two separate Partyline setups into one, this box handles both jobs cleanly with a transformer-based design.
The MT-701 upgrades on the older MT-1 with a new transformer that delivers a 6dB gain improvement, so you get better signal performance along with the noise rejection. Hooking it up is straightforward: connections run through standard XLR cables, and only one termination is needed between the two connected systems, which simplifies wiring compared to trying to terminate each side separately.
Four status LEDs on the front give you an at-a-glance read on what’s happening in the signal path, so troubleshooting a noisy run doesn’t mean guessing. The enclosure itself is built to a professional standard, both in construction and appearance, so it fits in on a rack or a cart without looking out of place next to the rest of your intercom gear.
