Description
The PRO35 solves a specific problem: getting a clean, close-up signal on brass, woodwinds, toms, and other instruments that are tough to mic conventionally. Instead of fighting with a stand, you clip this small cardioid condenser directly onto the instrument itself, so it moves with the performer and stays locked onto the sound source.
Because it’s a cardioid design, it naturally rejects noise and bleed from the sides and rear, which matters a lot when you’re tracking a horn section or a drum kit where every mic is close to several other loud sources. The extended frequency response (50-15,000 Hz) keeps the character of the instrument intact rather than flattening it out, and with a maximum SPL rating of 145 dB, it shrugs off the kind of high-intensity output that would distort a lot of other small condensers.
The included AT8418 UniMount clip does double duty: it lets you dial in exact mic placement and it isolates the capsule from handling noise and knocks, which is exactly what you want on an instrument that’s being carried, played, or occasionally bumped mid-performance. A locking 4-pin connector on the 55″ cable ties directly into an A-T UniPak body-pack transmitter setup for wireless use.
This unit is a gently used demo, fully functional and ready to work.
