The ART TubeOpto 8 solves that with eight discrete Class-A vacuum tube mic preamps (second-generation design) plus 24-bit ADAT lightpipe I/O, all in a single rack unit. It’s built to expand any lightpipe-equipped interface, direct-to-disc recorder, or DAW rig with warm, transparent gain wherever you need it.
Each of the eight channels gives you real hands-on control: pad, phase reverse, and low-frequency roll-off switches, along with independent input gain and output level knobs. That combination lets you pull up to 70dB of clean, transparent gain when you need clarity, or dial in the tube stage for softer clipping and added warmth on vocals, drums, or anything that needs a little character. LED meters track preamp output on every channel, and clip indicators flag mic-preamp peaks before they become a problem.
On the digital side, the ADAT lightpipe I/O handles eight channels of 24-bit audio at 44.1 or 48kHz. Wordclock in and thru connections make it straightforward to sync multiple TubeOpto 8 units together if your setup grows.
