Description
Running two sources into a mixer that only wants balanced, low-impedance signal? The DualXDirect handles both channels at once, each with its own combo jack (1/4″ TRS or XLR) feeding a dedicated active buffer circuit. The result is a low-noise, low-impedance balanced output that travels cleanly over long snake runs, even in electrically noisy venues.
Per-channel controls give you real flexibility on stage or in the booth: attenuator switches tame hot signals, THRU jacks let you split off to an amp or pedal chain, and independent ground lift switches break input/output ground connections to knock out hum and ground loops when gear from different systems meets on the same stage.
Power is a non-issue. The DualXDirect pulls phantom voltage straight from the output connection whenever it’s available, and automatically switches to a 9V battery (draws under 7.5 mA) when it’s not — good for over 100 hours on a fresh alkaline. A power LED even tells you which source is running the unit: dim for battery, bright for phantom.
Frequency response stretches from 10 Hz to 100 kHz (±0.5 dB @ +0 dBu), distortion stays under 0.05%, and channel separation exceeds 80 dB — specs that keep the box out of the way sonically. The black-anodized aluminum extrusion case is built for repeated load-in/load-out abuse.
