Description
The Dual Z Direct gives you two independent passive DI channels in one rugged aluminum box, each built around a high-quality audio transformer that turns a high-impedance 1/4″ input into a balanced, low-impedance XLR output. Because there’s no battery or power supply involved, the sound stays clean and neutral, holding up well over long cable runs in noisy environments like stages and live rooms.
Each channel includes a THRU jack for tapping your signal downstream, plus switchable attenuation (0, -20, -40 dB) to handle everything from quiet instrument pickups to hot line and speaker-level signals without overloading the input. Ground lift switches let you break the connection between input and output grounds when you need to isolate two systems and kill hum or ground loops.
What pushes this beyond a basic DI box is the added control: switchable low-pass filters roll off high-frequency interference before it reaches your mixer or interface, which is especially useful for cutting RF noise or digital artifacts when connecting a DAW rig to studio monitors. Phase invert switches let you flip polarity right at the source, handy when blending a direct signal with a mic feed on the same source.
Housed in a compact, black-anodized aluminum case, it’s built for repeat use across live sound, fixed installs, DJ setups, and general PA work.
