Description
Need two DI channels but only room and budget for one box? The ART dPDB packs a pair of passive direct boxes into a single rugged steel enclosure, giving you double the connectivity without doubling your rack space. This is an open-box DEMO unit, fully functional and ready to work.
Each channel handles the job a DI is built for: taking the output of an electronic instrument or line-level source and converting it to a balanced signal that plays nicely with mixer preamps and snake runs. A 50k Ohm instrument input accepts your source, while a matching 50k Ohm parallel link jack lets you split the signal to an amp on stage while simultaneously feeding a clean line to the console.
On the output side, each channel sends a balanced signal through a 600 Ohm XLR jack. Switchable input attenuation (0 dB, -20 dB, -40 dB) keeps hot sources from overloading the input, and a switchable ground lift is on hand for those inevitable hum and buzz situations.
Because the dPDB is passive, there’s no external power or batteries to manage — just plug in and go. The steel chassis is built to survive gig bags, load-ins, and studio life without babying.
- Two independent passive DI channels in one unit
- 50k Ohm instrument input and parallel link jack per channel
- 600 Ohm balanced XLR output per channel
- Switchable attenuation: 0 dB / -20 dB / -40 dB
- Switchable ground lift
- Rugged steel enclosure
A practical two-for-one addition to any live rig or studio signal chain, especially handy for stereo instruments or double-duty stage/FOH splits.
