Description
Mixing consumer-level gear with pro balanced equipment usually means noise, hum, and mismatched levels. The ART CleanBox Pro solves that with a dual-channel level converter that works both directions at once, so you’re never stuck choosing between your unbalanced gear and your balanced rig.
One side takes unbalanced input from RCA jacks or a stereo 1/8″ mini-phone jack (wired in parallel) and steps it up to balanced output on two male XLR jacks — ideal for feeding a mixer or interface with long cable runs where noise immunity matters. The other side does the reverse, pulling balanced signal in through female XLR jacks and converting it down to unbalanced output across RCA and mini-phone connections. Each section gets its own stereo level control so you can dial in clean gain staging on both ends.
Housed in an extruded aluminum case with a lighted on/off switch, this unit is built to travel and sit on a desk without fuss. It’s equally at home patching a laptop into a studio console, connecting a DJ rig, tying video game or media players into a PA, or cleaning up a podcasting/broadcast signal chain.
