Soundscape is L.R. Baggs’ answer to a problem every acoustic player knows: pickups rarely sound like the guitar does unplugged. Built after nearly three years of R&D with a team of PhDs, including Dr. Jonathan Abel (co-founder of Universal Audio), this pedal uses your phone as an analysis tool to map your instrument’s actual acoustic character, then replays that character through the pedal instead of relying purely on raw pickup signal.

The process runs through the Acoustic Live app. Plug your guitar into the pedal, prop your phone near the soundboard, tap the bridge, strum a few chords, and pick some open strings. In minutes, the app builds a Voiceprint using impulse response technology, converting your instrument’s real timbre and playing dynamics into a custom preset ready for both stage and studio use.

Every Voiceprint you build also flags the specific resonant frequencies that trigger feedback on that particular guitar, generating an Anti-FB profile you control with a single pedal knob. Want to shape things further? The app includes a full parametric EQ for fine-tuning tone to taste, useful even on presets built without a Voiceprint.

On stage, the pedal handles playback at 96 kHz sampling for studio-grade fidelity, and it can store up to 100 instrument presets, so multi-guitar players can switch instruments without re-pairing anything mid-set.
