Description
The Keeley Compressor Pro is hand-built in Oklahoma and engineered well beyond typical guitar-pedal duty. It’s designed to handle any input range with a frequency response and noise floor that hold up against dedicated studio compressors, making it just as useful on vocals, bass, keys, or drum machines as it is on guitar.
- 7-Segment LED Metering: Displays gain reduction from -1dB to -20dB so you can watch compression happen in real time instead of guessing.
- Bi-Color Threshold LED: Turns red the moment compression engages, green when signal passes through untouched.
- Exact RMS Analysis (ERA): Reads the true RMS value of whatever you plug in, whether that’s guitar, bass, or drum machine.
- Hard/Soft Knee Switching: Hard knee for limiting and added sustain; soft knee (Komfort Kompression) for gentler, more natural-sounding dynamics.
- Auto Mode: Sets Attack and Release times automatically based on your playing, so it sounds right without manual tweaking.
- True Bypass: Zero tone or signal loss when the pedal is off.
Controls include Threshold, Ratio, Attack, Release, Gain, Knee, and Auto. Threshold has a range from -50dBu to +10dBu, covering everything from passive pickup levels (roughly -25dBu to 2.5dBu) up through pro audio (+4dBu) and consumer (-10dBu) levels. Ratio runs from 1:1 (no compression) to 8:1 (near-infinite limiting), Attack from 0.15ms to 150ms, Release from 0.1s to 3s, and Gain offers up to +20dB of make-up boost.
Whether you’re tracking at home, running a podcast or YouTube setup, mixing live front-of-house, or just want smoother sustain at low volumes, the Comp Pro adapts to the job without demanding you learn compressor theory first.
