Description
The Clear-Com RS-702 is built for production teams who need dependable, no-fuss intercom on set or on stage. This dual-listen monaural beltpack lets a user monitor two channels at once through a single XLR-6 connector, keeping wiring simple even on complex partyline runs. It works seamlessly with both current and legacy Clear-Com analog partyline systems, so you can add it to an existing rig without headaches.
Up top, tactile Call and Talk buttons pair with clear visual LED indicators (green for Power and Talk A/B, orange for Call A/B) so operators always know their status at a glance. Recessed rotary volume controls with end stops prevent accidental bumps from blowing out someone’s ears mid-show, while concealed, programmable DIP switches let techs tailor behavior without cluttering the exterior.
Inside, the mic preamp delivers a 280Hz–15kHz frequency response with under 0.1% distortion and better than 65dB signal-to-noise, while the headphone amp covers 150Hz–20kHz with over 80dB of crosstalk rejection between earphone and mic paths. That’s the signature ‘Clear-Com Sound’ — intelligible, low-noise audio that holds up over long shifts.
Efficiency matters on big shows: low idle current (25mA or less) and low max draw (40mA or less) means you can daisy-chain more beltpacks off the same power run. The housing is built rugged and strong to survive the bumps and grabs of daily production use.
