If your studio setup involves a laptop feeding a bigger sound system, you’ve probably run into that faint buzz or hum caused by ground loops. The ART USBDI Project Series solves this by taking USB audio straight from your computer, converting it to analog, and then passing it through custom transformers that electrically isolate the output from the rest of your gear.

Up front, a large control knob lets you dial in output level by feel, and a dedicated headphone jack means you can monitor without touching your main mix. There’s also a Main Outputs switch so you can lock the isolated XLR outputs at a fixed level while adjusting only the headphones – handy when your main system already has its own volume control.

Everything runs off USB bus power (under 200mA), so there’s no wall wart or extra cable to manage. It’s built into a small, tough chassis meant to sit on a desk or get tossed in a gig bag without complaint.
