Description
When you need to feed multiple keyboards, acoustic pickups, or other line-level sources into a mixer’s balanced inputs, the PDB4 handles four channels at once without needing a single watt of power. Each channel runs through its own transformer, so noise and ground loop issues on one line stay isolated from the others instead of spreading through your whole rig.
Built into a steel 1U, 19-inch rack chassis, this unit is meant to live in a touring rack or a studio patchbay and take the abuse that comes with regular gigging. Every channel includes a parallel link jack, letting you split a signal to send to an instrument amp while simultaneously routing it to the mixer for recording or front-of-house.
- Four independently isolated DI channels
- Switchable input attenuation: 0dB, -20dB, -40dB
- 50k Ohm instrument/line input impedance
- 50k Ohm parallel link jack per channel
- 600 Ohm balanced XLR output
- Switchable ground lift per channel
- Fully passive design, no power supply needed
- Frequency response: 10 Hz – 50 kHz, +/- 0.5dB @ +4dBu
- 1U 19-inch all-steel black chassis
- Dimensions: 1.75″ x 19″ x 6″ (44.5mm x 483mm x 152mm)
- Weight: 6.5 lbs. (2.95 kg)
The attenuation switches let you dial in hot outputs from active instruments without overloading downstream preamps, while the ground lift on each channel gives you a quick fix when hum shows up mid-session. For anyone consolidating multiple DI needs into a single rack space, the PDB4 is a straightforward, no-frills solution.
