Description
The PR 35 takes the well-regarded PR 30 capsule and refines it further, aiming at studios, broadcast booths, and stages that need a dependable cardioid dynamic with a wide, even frequency response. A sorbothane shock mount is built into the design to help isolate the capsule from handling noise and stand vibration.
- 40 Hz–18 kHz frequency response with a smooth, flat character across the range
- Large 1 1/2″ aluminum low-mass voice coil paired with a specialized magnet structure for clarity and headroom
- Hum-bucking coil lets you work close to video monitors and other gear without picking up buzz
- Phasing plug with symmetrically placed rear ports creates a linear cardioid pattern, cutting proximity effect while keeping detail intact
- Handles very high SPL without breaking up or overloading
- No phantom power or DC needed — just plug in and go
- Three-position roll-off switch: flat, roughly -3 dB, or roughly -6 dB
Off-axis rejection is strongest directly behind the mic (180 degrees), so background noise and bleed from that direction stay well controlled with minimal coloration elsewhere.
Each PR 35 ships with a mic clip that fits standard 5/8″-27 stands and a leatherette carrying case for storage or transport. Amateur radio operators will need a CC-1 XLR cable separately to connect the mic to a transceiver.
Whether it’s anchoring a broadcast chain, reinforcing a live vocal, or tracking in a home studio, the PR 35 delivers consistent, articulate output without demanding extra power or complicated setup.
