Description
The Heil PR 30B is the same dynamic cardioid microphone as the standard PR 30, just dressed in matte black with red mesh grilles. Under the hood, it uses the same neodymium-boron-iron magnet structure paired with a large diaphragm to deliver a flat, smooth response across its full frequency range.
Because of its end-fire cardioid design and large shock-mounted element, the PR 30B works well on guitar and bass cabinets, drum kits, cymbals, vocals, and broadcast applications alike. A built-in hum bucking coil keeps it quiet around PC monitors, neon lighting, and other common sources of electronic interference, while the shock mounting isolates it from handling and stand vibration. With a max SPL rating of 146 dB, it stays composed even in front of loud cabinets or kick drums.
