Description

The Drawmer 1974 brings genuine 1970s-flavoured analogue EQ into the modern studio, built as a fully stereo four-band parametric with one shared set of controls governing both channels. That linked design means no more chasing matched settings between left and right – the unit uses precision, hand-matched stepped potentiometers with indented detents, so recall is fast, repeatable, and accurate to fine tolerances across both channels.

Each of the four bands offers fully variable frequency selection with +/-12dB of cut or boost, and the two mid bands go further with completely variable bandwidth control. That means you can dial in a razor-narrow notch for problem frequencies or open things up into a broad, musical curve – whatever the source demands, from delicate mastering touches to more aggressive tonal reshaping.

Low and high cut filters round out the tone-shaping toolkit. The low cut sweeps from 10Hz to 225Hz and the high cut from 4kHz to 32kHz, both fully variable so you can hunt down exactly the right point rather than settling for fixed steps – handy for clearing rumble or hiss before tracks get layered and those artifacts stack up. A switchable slope feature adds further control: choose 6, 9, or 12dB per octave on the low end (plus a Peak setting), and 6 or 12dB per octave on the high end. The Peak mode adds a narrow bell boost at the knee of the 12dB low cut filter, giving kick drums extra punch and low-end weight while still clearing out unwanted subsonic content.

  • Vintage-inspired four-band stereo parametric EQ
  • Linked stereo control via matched, indented stepped potentiometers
  • Fully variable mid-band frequency and bandwidth, +/-12dB cut/boost
  • Variable low cut (10Hz-225Hz) and high cut (4kHz-32kHz) filters
  • Switchable slopes: 6/9/12dB per octave low, 6/12dB per octave high, plus Peak setting
