Description
The BSS BLU-100 slots into a single rack space and gives you 12 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs built around BSS’s Soundweb London platform. Every input offers software-adjustable gain in 6dB steps up to +48dB, plus per-channel switchable 48V phantom power, so you can wire mics and line-level sources into the same unit without external boxes.
Configuration runs through HiQnet London Architect, using a drag-and-drop design workflow with a wide library of processing and logic blocks. Once you’ve built a signal flow, front panel LEDs give you instant read-outs on phantom power, signal presence, and clipping per channel – no laptop required to check status on the fly.
Under the hood is a 48-channel, low-latency digital audio bus riding on standard Cat5e cable, good for 100m runs between compatible devices (or 40km+ with fiber converters). Because this bus occupies channels 1-48 of BSS’s larger 256-channel network, the BLU-100 plays nicely alongside BLU-800, BLU-320, BLU-160, BLU-120, and BLU-BOB units in bigger installs.
For control system integration, the BLU-100 includes 12 control inputs and 6 logic outputs for GPIO tie-ins, with bi-directional locate functions to find devices from within London Architect or physically on the rack.
