Description
The XDirect earns its keep by doing more than the average DI box. Its high-impedance 1/4″ and XLR inputs run through low-noise active electronics that buffer and convert your signal into an isolated, low-impedance balanced output. The result is a flat, wide frequency response and enough headroom to handle hot signal levels without breaking a sweat, so you get a clean, neutral tone whether you’re feeding a snake across the stage or a rack unit two feet away.
- Switchable input attenuation (0dB, -20dB, -40dB) for matching a wide range of source levels
- Input Link jack for tapping your signal without breaking the chain
- Ground Lift switch to isolate input and output grounds and knock out hum or ground-loop noise
- Switchable low-pass filter (Bessel, -3dB @30kHz) that fights RF interference and digital noise artifacts from computer-based rigs
- Phase Invert switch for correcting polarity when blending a DI tap with a mic feed
Power is flexible: run it off a 9V battery (roughly 250 hours of use, drawing just 3.5mA) or let it pull power automatically from phantom source when available. An LED on the Battery switch tells you what’s happening at a glance — dim for battery, bright for phantom, off when idle.
Housed in a compact black anodized aluminum case, the XDirect is built for live sound, fixed installs, DJ setups, or any PA rig where you need to interface a high-impedance source with a low-noise balanced system. Specs: 10Hz-100kHz frequency response (+/-.5dB @ +0dBu), 100dB dynamic range, max input 4/+24/+44dBu, max output +6dBu (battery) or +14dBu (phantom). Measures 1.75″H x 4.2″W x 3.5″D and weighs 0.75 lbs.
