Description
The Aston Origin puts a 1″ gold-evaporated capsule behind transformer-less, high-end circuitry to give you a direct, natural sound that flatters vocals and acoustic instruments alike. It’s a cardioid condenser built for anyone who wants studio-grade detail without babysitting a delicate mic.
- Wave-form mesh head: Aston’s signature stainless steel mesh flexes under impact and springs back undamaged, protecting the capsule while also reducing off-axis noise.
- Integrated pop filter: A mesh-knit layer woven into the head kills plosives at the source and blocks stray electromagnetic interference. It’s a single-piece cage that’s removable and washable.
- Molded end caps: Custom caps house the XLR connection and an interchangeable stand thread, so you can mount straight to a stand thanks to the mic’s strong internal shock absorption. This also keeps repairs simple.
- Hand-finished chassis: Each body is tumbled for up to four hours for a durable, distinctive finish, then engraved with Aston’s ‘The art of performance’ mantra.
- Thoughtful electronics: A discrete/integrated hybrid circuit, harmonized stages from phantom power to capsule bias, and non-linear rectification work together for clean, controlled gain.
- Eco-conscious packaging: Simple, protective, and reusable rather than wasteful.
