Running front-of-house and monitors or recording off the same mics usually means a snake headache and ground-loop hum. The ART S8 solves it by taking eight balanced low-Z mic inputs and turning each one into a pair of balanced low-Z outputs — sixteen total — so two separate consoles or a console-plus-recorder setup can pull from the same sources cleanly.

Each channel gives you a direct output and a transformer-isolated output. Send the direct feed to your main or FOH mixer (it passes phantom power through, so condenser mics stay powered), and route the isolated output to a monitor console or multitrack recorder without worrying about ground loops between the two systems. A ground-lift switch on every isolated output handles any noise that does creep in.

Need to split a preamp, keyboard, or mixer line instead of a raw mic? Flip the per-channel pad switch and the S8 will happily accept preamplified signal on those two mic-level outputs, too.
