Getting a laptop’s audio into a mixing console or PA usually means fighting driver installs and noisy adapters. The Radial USB-Pro skips all that. It’s a stereo DAC and direct box in one, connecting via standard USB type-B and appearing instantly as a sound card on Windows or Mac OSX — no drivers to load, no settings to fight.

Once connected, the USB-Pro hands off a clean 24-bit signal to a pair of balanced XLR outputs, each with its own level control, ready to feed a preamp, console, or powered speaker. A 3.5mm headphone jack lets you monitor the converted signal before it ever reaches the house system, so you can catch problems early. There’s also a mono-sum switch for checking phase or feeding a mono rig.

Ground loops are handled with two recessed switches that drop in isolation transformers on each channel, backed up by a pin-1 ground lift on both XLR jacks — a real asset when running audio through a projector or unfamiliar venue wiring.

Build quality follows Radial’s usual playbook for gear that has to survive the road: a book-end chassis shields the switches and jacks from impact, an I-beam internal structure keeps the circuit board from flexing, and a full no-slip bottom pad adds both grip and electrical insulation.
