The Vintage 11 isn’t a clone of the U47, U67, or C12 — it’s JZ Microphones’ own take on what a modern vintage-style capsule should sound like. The name marks 2011, the year this design took shape as a new reference point rather than a nod to old blueprints. It’s built for anyone who wants their tracking chain to go beyond typical studio-standard condensers, without chasing a replica of something already on the market.

At the core is a 27mm electrostatic capsule working on a pressure-gradient principle, delivering a cardioid pattern with a full 20 Hz–20 kHz frequency range. Sensitivity comes in at 22 mV/Pa (1kHz into 1000 ohms), and the mic handles up to 134 dB SPL before hitting 0.5% THD — plenty of headroom for loud sources without reaching for a pad.
