Description
The PRO35 is a compact cardioid condenser designed to clip directly onto instruments that are notoriously tricky to mic well — sax, brass, toms, and other percussion. Because it mounts inches from the source, it captures the natural tone and attack of the instrument while staying out of the performer’s way on stage.
- Handles high-SPL sources cleanly, up to 145 dB SPL at 1 kHz (1% T.H.D.), so aggressive playing won’t distort the signal
- Cardioid pickup pattern rejects sound from the sides and rear, keeping bleed from other instruments and stage noise to a minimum
- 50–15,000 Hz frequency response with an 80 Hz, 18 dB/octave low-frequency roll-off switch for tightening up boomy low end
- AT8418 UniMount clip holds the mic securely in place, resists shock, and shields the capsule from knocks during active performances
- Fixed-charge back plate (permanently polarized) condenser element runs on standard phantom power, 11–52V DC at roughly 2 mA
- Terminates in a locking 4-pin connector sized for Audio-Technica UniPak body-pack wireless transmitters, with a 55″ (1.4 m) cable
- Tiny footprint: the mic capsule itself is just 0.98″ long and 0.40″ in diameter, weighing 0.3 oz
Everything needed to get it mounted arrives in the box: the AT8418 UniMount instrument clip, the AT8538 power module, and a soft protective pouch for storage between gigs. Whether you’re wiring up a horn section or a drum kit, the PRO35 delivers consistent, isolated pickup without a bulky setup.
